I can’t begin to express to you guys how much I can’t wait to graduate from school. I decided to get my higher education after high school with no career set in my mind but I thought it was important to be educated for my own well-being and simply figure it out as I go. People tell me to enjoy it while I can but the truth of the matter is that I’m not involved in any sports, clubs, sororities etc. because I’ve worked full time the whole time so there’s not much for me to “enjoy”. I’m ready to apply the things I’ve learned in school to real life and do things that actually matter, that make differences with true substance. I’m interested to see the person I am without the distraction of school and how I’ll use my time. Granted I hear people I know talk about how tough it is once they graduate as far as the job market goes but if that’s the case I would think that they’d be using their time wisely to do things that make them happy or some sort of difference in the world even as minute it may be. I know plenty of cynics that will read this and think it may be naïve of me to feel this way but I won’t be sorry for thinking that life doesn’t have to be mundane.
